Cars are usually given a "female" name. But being the unique and creative folks that we are, we have taken a different approach! "The Patriot" is our affectionate name for our 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan. It's roomy, roadworthy, and most important of all, it's red. Not just any shade of red, Patriot Red!

The picture above, was taken the last time we were in Wyoming in 2000. We got our ONLY speeding ticket ever on that trip in Wyoming! It is so easy to just do say... hmmm, 82 in a 65 mph area. The road we were on was surrounded by nothing but sagebrush and tumbleweed. Ocassionally, a pronghorn or two could be spotted bounding in the distance. We passed maybe 3 cars in an hours time. Too bad one of them was a Wyoming State Trooper equiped with oncoming radar! We were extra careful after our little encounter with the law. (To our mothers: We promise to do our best to not be outlaws in Wyoming this trip!)

The Patriot is nearing a milestone. Yes, we are about to join the 100,000 mile club. We are pulling out of Black Lick with the odometer at 97,478. So here's a little game folks. Take a look at the map of our proposed route. Use your brains, your atlases, Yahoo maps if you must, then take a guess of where you think she will turn 100,000 miles. Be as specific as you can, and get those guesses in early. One guess per person. There may be a special surprise for the person who guesses the closest. Please fill out all fields in the form!(Who knows what you may receive for a correct guess!)

The winner = The person who guesses the closest to the geographic location of the 100,000 turn.

Play nice boys and girls!

* The 100,000 game has ended. Thanks to all who played!

Rules in the Patriot!
Take me with you!
