Gettysburg

Off to the battlefield we went after we got Riah his stamp in his National Park Passport book. One of our favorite places is the boulder area on Little Round Top. We knew Riah would enjoy climbing after being in the van for a few hours.

Note to self, don't ever stand in front of Wayne, makes me look even BIGGER!

This little cave like area was just right for the boy.

He is sooooooooo strong!

The view from Little Round Top

Sharp shooters

Putting into practice what he learned about cannons!

He was fearless on the rocks, but also very cautious. I still held on tight once we climbed up this one. He thought I was scared, so he said, "Sure mommy, I'll hold onto you. I won't let YOU fall!"

The sky cleared more as the day went on

A majestic oak with low lying branches adorned with fall leaves. Tripod time.

He loved the rocks, just as we thought he would

I have always been fond of the fences at Gettysburg

The Pennsylvania Memorial was undergoing renovations.

The battlefield is dotted with barns, as the battle itself mostly took place in farmer's fields.

An interesting monument, with the Pennsylvania Memorial in the distance.

Goldfish time

Riah poses with his gun at the North Carolina Memorial, which is one of our favorites.

Ready...Aim...

Fire!
